Apart from this, the app now comes with support for multi-level undo. The company has also redesigned the find and replace experience on the app. By default, Notepad will adapt to the user's system theme preferences, but they can change this option themselves in the new settings page which is the new home for font options as well. One of the most awaited features of the new app is the dark mode. The Notepad app comes with an updated UI including rounded corners, Mica, and more. Apart from this, the company also rolled out the redesigned Notepad app and Photos app to more users recently.
Microsoft claimed that the app has also been optimised for accessibility, with improved keyboard shortcut and access key support for keyboard users and with other assistive technologies. All content in the music and video folders on the PC will appear automatically in the app's library, but users can also tell Media Player where to look for additional content in app settings. The app also includes support for browsing, managing, and watching local video collection too. The dedicated playback view features album art and artist imagery which will appear in both full screen and mini player. The company has revealed that user’s Groover Music library and playlists will automatically migrate to the new app. The Media Player app replaces Microsoft’s default music player app - Groove Music in Windows 11 and Windows 10. Now the company has announced that redesigned Media Player is also coming to the Beta channel. Till now, the app was only available for Windows 11 users who were enrolled in the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider program. A few months ago Microsoft released the new Media Player app for Windows 11.
